  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years related work experience is required; previous experience in manufacturing industry preferred.
  • A thorough understanding of contract documents and demonstrated success in contract negotiations (in terms of service and pricing).
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, effective issue resolution, influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office, especially Excel; previous experience using SAP is preferred.
  • Demonstrate initiative, take ownership of the process, and drive continual improvement.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, including active listening skills with internal and external customers; ability to collaborate with various departments (Engineering, Customer Service, Production, Accounting, etc.) and suppliers to coordinate activities.
  • Demonstrate a strategic business mindset, organizational savvy, professional business presence, and ability to balance multiple stakeholder interests simultaneously.
  • Promote ethical procurement practices of contracted goods which includes compliance with corporate and departmental policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Possess the legal right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.

Principal Responsibilities

This is just a high-level overview of the role we need you to fill for us:

We are seeking a procurement professional to lead the supply sourcing strategies for a defined portfolio of materials to include the development and negotiation of contracts with new suppliers and/or renegotiate existing contracts to accomplish savings objectives. This position will be responsible for providing reliable and cost-efficient sourcing of key materials through relationship management, negotiation and dispute resolution. More specifically, this role will monitor performance metrics, resolve claims and/or disputes, and conduct spend analyses and reports. This role will also conduct market intelligence research and stay informed of other contributing factors affecting supply availability and pricing of products procured by interacting with key suppliers, industry associations, and internal stakeholders.
