Integrated solutions complement a transparent design

Home to the NFL's Minnesota Vikings, U.S. Bank Stadium is the billion-dollar, glass-studded jewel of Minneapolis. Drawing inspiration from Nordic Vernacular architecture, HKS designed the stadium to blur the lines between outdoor and indoor. Glass-dominated walls and a unique translucent fabric roof flood the stadium's interior with natural light, while five enormous rotating glass doors - dubbed "The Legacy Gate" - impress fans as they arrive.

Paired with the right specialty contractor, Carciofini, Watson Bowman Acme was able to quickly supply and install a large range of standard and custom Wabo® expansion joints to meet tight deadlines and challenging design requirements from HKS. During construction, WBA provided onsite training to Carciofini, minimizing install time and reducing disruption to other contractors.

As fans enter U.S. Bank Stadium, they may not notice WBA's joints at all, which were designed and selected to blend with the structure. While they walk the concourse, rubber-encapsulated Wabo®SafetyFlex ensures that pedestrian and vehicle traffic over joints is noiseless and smooth.

Upon entering the private suites, fans may fail to see the nearly invisible Wabo®Allure joints - or the custom-colored Wabo®Seismic WeatherSeal lining the stadium walls. In short, WBA's versatile product line was key in providing the strength and out-of-sight design required by this customer.
